General laboratory safety procedures follow the Laboratory Safety guidelines of of the Environmental Services at New York University. A handbook is available online (PDF) and a hardcopy is available in the physical laboratory, room 101, 241 Greene Street. Additional safety procedures, specific to the physical environment of a fluids laboratory with a turntable and laser, have been developed. A first-aid kit is available in the lab.
Any person wishing to use the laboratory facilities must read and abide by all laboratory safety procedures, otherwise, access will be denied. A release form must be signed prior to access to any laboratory facilities.
