Experimenting
(Physical Laboratory - EFDL)

The understanding of environmental fluid dynamics phenomena is highly non-intuitive because the phenomenon occur in the rotating environment of our earth. Insight into many basic phenomenon can, however, be gained by conducting physical laboratory experiments with real fluids on a rotating laboratory table. While a wide spectrum of phenomenon may be studied in this manner, current research activities in the lab focus on understanding phenomenon particular to the polar oceans.
