The educational experience in fluid dynamics of both undergraduate and graduate students can be greatly enhanced by complimenting the traditional lecture-based pedagogy with a hands-on physical laboratory experience. In the physical laboratory students are able to perform experiments that reinforce the mathematical and physical concepts that they have learned in the classroom.
